Dear Praying Friends, We have a prayer request. We have found a TR version of the Bible in our local language, and are hoping to get it printed. The Bible has not be printed in Ghana for 50 years, and the Bible Society of Ghana, says that they still own the copy rights for it. This Bible is the first Akan bible translated, it was translated in 1900. It is written in Akuapem Twi, but it is the only TR (King James) Bible here in Ghana. We have a meeting with the Bible society next week to talk with them about the Bible issue. If they are to reprint it, we would have to convert it over to Asanti Twi (our language), and use the proper type set, (they did not have ways to print all our letters in the early 1900's. So please pray for this project. The best case is that they will allow me to set up a team and make the revisions, and then after submitting it to them for review, that they decide to at least make a few runs of the Bible. Currently there are no TR Bibles being printed in any languages here in Ghana. Please pray that the board of directors of the Bible society will listen to God's will, and that we will be given permission to start this new project.
In Christ,
John Sommer
